Client asked for a more tree-like shrub, instead of a formal hedge look. The yew on the south had grown down and out well past the steps to reach sunlight from under the large oak behind. The client wanted to even them out, so I cut back the South Yew to the edge of the steps. Then I thinned out deadwood and crossing branches to allow more air and sunlight to penetrate the crown.
